The day the unspeakable took place through out Sri Lanka and

the words and tears of countless thousands.
Medical

These

human spirit when put to the test.
The
response to their tragedy could we overwhelming, but perhaps
not overwhelming the one considers what people of goodwill,
of honor, of faith and compassion of when faced with a human

The
Lions Clubs International Foundation provided us $10,000 emergency

a special Tsunami disaster victims fund and appealed to the
entire world of lionism for assistance with in terms of funding
as well as relief assistance.
The
response from Multiple Districts, Districts, Clubs and Individual
Lions was overwhelming and it is heartening to know that the
LCIF is considering an grant of US $ 3.9 million towards construction
of 3000 houses by the Lions of Multiple District 306 Sri Lanka.
The
Lions of Multiple District 306 under the leadership of the
council chairperson and the three District Governors are now
faced with the greatest challenge both in terms of their personal
leadership and co-orporation of all others to answer the demands
of the moment.
Perhaps
the greatest challenge and obligations once in a life time
to fulfill by our brothers and sisters.
An
opportunity to focus the image, our grate movement to focus
our leadership skills and to display our service commitments
by our fellow citizens.
“Our
associations slogan is Liberty, Intelligence, Our Nations
Safety”
It
is time for every Lion in every part of Sri Lanka to step
forward let our candle light vigil pay respect to the thousands
of man, women and children who’s lives were lost or
forever change by this disaster.
It
was a defiant spectacle of solidarity by the Lions from all

be alone”
Though
the pain, grief and the heartache is still there – we
