Lions Clubs International Foundation hosted the DG Team & LCIF Coordinators Programme from 6th to 8th September in Colombo. We were delighted to welcome Board Appointee Constitutional Area Leader Past International Director Vijay Kumar Raju to Sri Lanka.
We are also grateful to PIP Mahendra Amarasuriya for joining us with his wealth of knowledge and also for the online participation of LCIF Regional Development Specialist Mr.Tyrel Floyd.
We had a productive programme thanks to the meticulous planning of PCC Past LCIF Area Leader Jeyarajan and LCIF Area Leader Mahinda Perera.
Over the past 48 years since 1974, our Lions Multiple District including 306, 306 A, 306 B and 306 C have jointly contributed a total of $ 2.7 million to LCIF.
Against this amount, our motherland has received $15.2 million as a humanitarian donation from LCIF. (It is well over 600% more than what our Lions contributed to LCIF).
In other words, Sri Lanka has received 6 times more money as donations and LCIF assistance which has added a great deal of value to our country.
